Summer Internship Placement Report of Batch 2011-2013.
Overview
The Summer Placement process of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management at IMT Ghaziabad for the Class of 2013 started in September 2011. About 70 firms across diverse sectors such as Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Consumer Goods(FMCG), Consulting, Information Technology (IT), Telecom, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Engineering, Real Estate, Travel & Tourism recruited students for the Internship period in April-May, 2012.

Sector-Wise Summer Internship

|
|
The Consumer Goods and Banking and Financial Services sector hired in large numbers. Almost 30 % of students were recruited by firms from these sectors to work during the summer. Major recruiters included JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Crisil, Aviva, Amway, Britannia Industries Ltd., Emami and Godfrey Phillips.
Around 12% of the batch would be interning in the Consulting domain. AbsolutData, BMR Advisors, Cushman & Wakefield, Deloitte Consulting, Eduvisors hired in significant numbers in this domain.
Information Technology, Manufacturing, Media and Entertainment, Real Estate, Automobile , Energy firms also hired significant number of students. Regular recruiters like Dabur India Ltd., JP Morgan Chase, Britannia Industries Ltd, AbsolutData and Deloitte Consulting renewed their commitment to the campus.

Function-Wise Summer Internship

|
Marketing/ Sales was the most popular area with almost 58% of the batch opting for internship in this function. Finance roles were offered to almost 22 % of the batch. Consulting, Human Resources , IT, Operations were the other popular areas offered to the students.

Apart from the presence of regular recruiters, IMT Ghaziabad saw a number of new recruiters participate in the summer placement process. Café Coffee Day, Cushman & Wakefield, Haworth, Jenson & Nicholsan, Louis Dreyfus, Nike and O& M are few significant names in this list.
