The following are the Rules and Regulations for issue & borrowing of books.
- Borrowing facilities are given only to the members of the library. Books or other documents may be borrowed only against the Library Card issued to individuals. Borrowing will be done only through the Circulation Counters, after the member produces his/her Library Card before the person at counter. Library Card is Non-transferable.
- The holder of the Library Card is responsible for any book issued against the Library Card.
- The date by which you must return the book is stamped on the label pasted inside the book You may be asked to return your books earlier if they are need by someone else.
- At the time of deposition of overdue fine for documents, you must collect receipt for the payment from the Circulation Desk.
- At the time of return of documents, you must collect RETURN SLIP and keep proper record of it for future verification of records in case of problem.
- For Renewing, it is necessary that the book has to be presented at the counter. Renewal is not automatic, If there is a demand for the book, the request for renewal may be turned down by the library. One book issued successively for two weeks will not be renewed even if there is no demand for the said book.
- During the examinations, books and publications issued for a week will not be renewed even if there is no demand for the said books.
- Same day Newspapers will not lent out of the library. Periodicals will not be issued for at least 7 days from the day of their arrival.
- The librarian can recall books and publications at any time if need arises.
- If a member loses a book against his/her Library Card, he/she shall make written information to the Librarian.
- He/she will have to replace the book lost. In addition he/she will pay a fine. If the relevant book is not easily available in the market, then the loser would pay double the current cost of the book.
