Dr. Somnath Chakrabarti has done B.E. from REC (NIT), Durgapur; MBA from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, USA (aided through graduate assistantship received from the University in U.S.) and has done his Ph.D from IIT Delhi, Department of Management Studies. He has maintained high first class academic background through out in academics. His professional work experiance since 1992. He has published research papers in very reputed peer reviewed academic journals like International Journal of Advertising, UK; Internation Journal of Consumer Studies, UK, Decision (IIM Calcutta) and IIMB Management Review.
He has nine and a half years of corporate experience up to senior level positions in marketing and advertising industry in reputed organizations like Wipro, HTA (JWT), McCann Erickson etc including Internation research work experience(Econometric Modeling) in Sydney, Australia. He has conducted AICTE sponsored faculty development programme in June 2006 on `New Marketing Paradigms and Global Competitiveness’.His present teaching interests lie in consumer behavior, integrated marketing communications, international marketing and B2B marketing.
