Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh has Master and Doctoral degree in Psychology with specialization in Organizational Behavior from University of Delhi, Delhi, India. He has successfully cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lectureship conducted by the University Grant Commission (UGC), India. At present, Dr. Singh is a faculty member in the area of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, U.P., India. Before coming to IMT Ghaziabad, India, he worked for University of Delhi and some other top rated Business Schools of India. He started his career as senior researcher in one of the television channels and was looking after socio-psycho analysis of the socio-politico issue of the days.

He has keen interest in researching and has been published in many top rated national and international journals. To name a few, Dr. Singh has been published in Journal of Knowledge Management, Singapore Management Review, South African Journal of Industrial Psychology, South African Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal of Work Organization and Emotions, International Journal of Indian Culture and Business Management, Indian Journal of Industrial Relations, Udyog Pragati, Journal of Management Research, etc. Few research papers of him have also been accepted for publication in Benchmarking: An International Journal and Management Research News of the Emerald Group Publishing Limited. Dr. Singh has two corporate executives enrolled under his supervision for the Ph.D. Program of GGSIP University, Delhi.

For his keen interest in helping develop the body of knowledge in the area of emotional intelligence, Dr. Singh has been given academic recognition by putting his name in the individual member category of the Consortium of Research on Emotional Intelligence in Organization, Boston, USA (http://www.eiconsortium.org/members/Singh.htm). He has also been empanelled by the Academy of Management (AOM), USA for the organizational behavior and allied disciplines. Dr. Singh has also been empanelled as the reviewer of Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems and Leadership and Organization Development Journal of the Emerald Group Publishing Limited.

Dr. Singh teaches Organizational Behavior, Organization Development, Cross-Cultural Management, and Psychological Testing. His research interests are in the areas of Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Culture & Leadership, Organizational Learning, and Knowledge Management. Till date, Dr. Singh has published nineteen research papers in reputed national and international journals and has contributed five book chapters. He has also co-authored two edited book titling Innovation Management and Building Blocks of Organizational Creativity which were published by Macmillan Publishing Limited. Dr. Singh has so far successfully organized one national (Organizational Excellence through Emotional Intelligence) which received grant from the AICTE, Government of India and one international (Managing Creativity and Innovation) conference. Dr. Singh has been actively engaged in Management Development Programs of the IMT Ghaziabad wherein he takes classes on issues pertaining to behavioral and attitudinal change of the executives of the industry.

For the past three consecutive years, Dr. Singh has been successfully looking after the Student Affairs portfolio as Chairperson at IMT Ghaziabad. This administrative assignment deals with helping thousand budding managers every year to develop on all aspects of non-academic attributes. He has also been given opportunity to serve as Member, PGP Committee for year 2007-08 and 2008-09 at IMT Ghaziabad. Apart from these administrative activities, Dr. Singh has been constantly engaged for past three year in other institutional building activities, such as documenting B’ School Ranking data, Annual Report Submission to the AICTE, working on Accreditation related assignments at IMT Ghaziabad.

    There are 14 clubs/committees consisting of 25 odd students who religiously work constantly throughout the year towards the objectives of their respective offices. These clubs/committees under the banner of the Student Affairs, to name a few, are Markup, Finniche, Globiz, HRuday, Summit, MADF, Sports Com, Mess Com, Race, Entrepreneurship Cell, Cultural Com, etc.

    The office of Student Affairs under my chairmanship has been working for overall socio-psycho-physical developments of student community by mobilizing intellectual and infrastructural resources of institute. The core philosophies of the office of Student Affairs are as:
    1. To develop personality and attitudes for becoming successful corporate citizens;
    2. To develop physical stamina to absorb corporate pressures and strains;
    3. To inculcate attitude of social equity along with corporate growth;


  • Member PGP Committee, IMT-Ghaziabad (Session 2007-08 and 2008-09):

    It is the only important committee which has the mandate for handling issues and concerns related with academics. The main job of the PGP Committee is as:
    1. To advice the concerned academic area to conduct academic advisory committee meeting either once or twice in a year for bringing the course content in tune with the demands of the industry;
    2. To ensure that the academic area confirms to the practice of using subject specific pedagogy in the classroom,
    3. To design policy guidelines for the Academic Program Office (APO) pertaining to the conduct of Quiz, mid-term, and end-term examination,
    4. To deal with the cases of unfair means adopted by the student(s), if any, during the examination,
    5. To design and implement policy guidelines concerning major/minor specialization across the disciplines;


  • Institutional Building Activities (Session 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10):
    1. To collect relevant data and prepare reports for various Business School Ranking surveys, such as Outlook, GHRDC, C-Fore, AIMA, Business Today, etc.,
