Dr. Rajiv R. Thakur is an MBA (Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi) and Ph. D. (Economics). He has qualified National Eligibility Test for Faculty (NET), conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt. of India, New Delhi, 1993 and is also a Junior Research Scholarship holder, granted by UGC. He is presently a core faculty for International Business and Strategic Management at IMT, Ghaziabad. He has been involved with international projects and has been actively involved in setting up of the Dubai campus of Institute of Management Technology (IMT) and accreditation of its programme. He is a visiting faculty to University of Applied and Social Sciences, F H Kufstein, Triol, Austria. Besides his present assignment of Chairman, PGDM programmes, he held responsibilities as Chairman (Admissions) for all three IMT Campuses at Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Dubai and as Chairman, Post Graduate Programme (International Business). He has been member of the Post Graduate Programme Committee, Research Committee, International Linkages Committee and Placement committee. He is guiding Ph D scholars at IMT Ghaziabad under the aegis of GGSIP university

In a short duration of his academic career, besides teaching, Dr Thakur has been involved with various research projects; conducting National seminars and Executive development programmes in area of International Business and Global Leadership. He has been organizing international conferences with wide international participation, the most recent one on Innovation in Redefining Business Horizons. He has published papers in reputed international and national journals and has presented papers in international and national conferences. He has also developed penchant for writing case-studies for the purpose of class-room teaching and research analysis. During his tenure at GIFT, Vizag, he was actively involved with conducting MDPs and consultancy programmes in area of international business.

Dr Thakur started his career in 1991 with industry and had a successful stint for over a decade with one of India’s leading media conglomerates.
