Finance & Accounting Area is a multi-disciplinary one offering a very wide range of courses, both core and elective, across almost all the programs of the Institute. The Area is devoted to the cause of advancement of learning in financial management and accounting, cost management through its members.
In graduate programs, the main focus of the Area lies in grooming the budding managers with the skill and insight of introspective thinking and quantitative analysis of the problems the business world would face. However, for the students of the advanced programs like Ph.D., the Area emphatically offers courses and supervises their research activities with the ultimate objective of developing and honing their knowledge and skill to achieve the distinctive quality of abstract thinking, idea generation and meaningful solutions to the ever-changing fabrics of business problems.
In addition, the Area members are engaged conducting seminars, symposia and conferences on the issues of contemporary relevance, impart training to the executives, taking up consultancies, et al.
