Dr. Bhavna Bhalla holds masters and bachelors degree from Lucknow University, securing first division in both the streams. After qualifying UGC-NET, she joined PhD programme offered by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur which she completed with distinction. For her doctoral dissertation, she studied classical Indian theories and made herself acquainted with the current trends in English Literature. Her interest in the dynamic field of Communication led her to explore the field. Hence apart from pursuing research in Indian Aesthetics and current trends in English Literature, the creative niche is taking her to explore fields like Soft Skills, Cognitive Aspect of Communication, Body Language in Non-verbal communication, Efficient Communication and Presentation Skills.
She has published research articles in International and National Journals. To add, she has also been to a number of international and national conferences where her work is much applauded. Her selected publications and conference papers include:

Along with academics, she has been actively involved in voluntary services. She has taken Opportunity Classes at IIT Kanpur, which is meant to provide essential skills and guidance to the under-privileged and unemployed youth. She has been a regular part of IIT’s counseling service, a students’ endeavour to provide counseling and guidance to the needy students.
She has also worked with Dr. Kapil Kapoor (Rector, JNU) for his prestigious project on Hinduism Encyclopedia.
