IT Infrastructure
IMT has a fully networked campus with around 1200 nodes connected with a backbone of 10 Gbps fiber connectivity with multi layer, high end Cisco campus wide network. IMT has 17 Mbps (1:1) metro Ethernet connectivity which can be upgraded to 100 Mbps on demand. IMT has 13 enterprise level servers to support domain service, security and storage service. The server room is designed as per international standards. Each faculty member is now equipped with high end Laptops and dedicated laser printers. Entire IMT Campus is equipped with Wi-Fi networks. The institute provides 24×7 connectivity @256 kbps per node to each student at no additional charge. Each faculty, student and Alumni is provided with an official email account that is accessible anywhere. Computer Labs and class rooms are fully equipped with Wi-Fi enabled projectors and latest teaching aids. Academic alliance with SAP University, IBM, Cisco and Microsoft enables us provide world class technology education to all our students. IMT have video conferencing facility, advance level security solutions, IT policy and enterprise level backup and storage solutions.
The Computer Centre is accessible round-the-clock and is equipped with state-of-the art hardware and software. IMT is among the few institutes in India to have a campus agreement with Microsoft for their latest licensed software. IMT also has an academic partnership with CISCO which enables us to offer CISCO-certified courses in our curriculum. The computer labs are equipped with top-of-the-line desktops and Intel Xeon 64 Bit Processor Servers. The computer centre has three sections with over 200 workstations. These are used for teaching the IT courses as well as common computing facilities for all courses.
The Campus Network design consists of High Speed Multi-Services Enabled Network Infrastructure; Converged Network with integrated Voice, Video, and Data; Secured and Fast Internet Access; Remote Access capability for network users; Voice over IP Telephony and IP based Video Conferencing facilities. The network connects the Main building, MDRC building, all the Server and Hostel Blocks over a high-speed backbone using Gigabit Ethernet technology. The two main administrative buildings are connected with high-speed 10 Gbps links. In addition, every building and hostel block has a provision for 100/1000Mbps Ethernet connectivity.
