IMT’s global reach grows again with link to Warsaw School of Economics

Increasing its lengthy list of international link-ups, Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Warsaw School of Economics in Poland.

“We try to constantly innovate and improve our efforts in order to strengthen our global presence in keeping with IMT’s vision of ‘Global breadth, India Depth’,” said Dr. Jayanthi Ranjan, chairperson of International Relations at IMT Ghaziabad. “In the same direction, we try to associate ourselves with business schools across the globe, such that they share our vision and philosophy of excellence and leadership in all ventures. Each new partner is a jewel added to the crown of our IMT family. We are proud to announce our new partner, Warsaw School of Economics.”

The Financial Times ranks Warsaw School of Economics second among business schools in Poland and 67th in Europe.Among the co-operation networks it is linked to are: PIM (Partnership in International Management); CEMS (The Global Alliance in Management Education); BSRUN (Baltic Sea Region University Network); EDAMBA (European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and Business Administration) and EUCEN (European Universities Continuing Education Network).

The Polish institute is also linked to numerous international networks, including: EUA (European University Association), EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), EABIS (European Academy for Business Society), CEEMAN (Central and East European Management Development Association), EADI (European Association of Development Research and Training), IIE (Institute of International Education), CIRET (Centre for International Research on Economic Tendency Surveys), IAUP (International Association of University Presidents) and PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education).

Among the partners it shares with IMT are: ICHEC – Brussels Management School; Zagreb School of Economics and Management; Aarhus School of Business, Denmark; ESC Rennes School of Business; Reims Management School; Toulouse Business School, Paris; ESCP-EAP, European School of Management; University of Liechtenstein; BI Norwegian Business School, Norway; ISCTE, University Institute of Lisbon; University of Seville, Spain and National Taiwan University College of Management.

IMT’s link to Warsaw School of Economic follows fast on the heels of three other Memorandums of Understanding IMT signed in June.

On June 13th, agreements were signed with International Business School of Service Management (ISS), Hamburg, Germany; Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM), France and Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark, a traineeship B-School and one of the largest management institutes in Europe.

At that time, Dr. Bibek Banerjee, Director of IMT Ghaziabad said, “There is a deep talent pool in India which requires exposure; we need to make avenues, channels, for people to reach out to the global market.”

This latest link-up brings IMT’s list of international partner institutions to 64 –all of them quite literally spanning the globe.
